Importance of prayer

How important is prayer? What does your prayer life look like? Do you pray in the morning, middle of the day, or as your falling asleep at night?

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

We should always be in communication with our heavenly father. Just as you speak to your spouse, children, friends so that you have a healthy relationship with them, so we should do with our heavenly father. We want to maintain, grow that relationship.

Jesus even knew how important it was to pray, He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane the night before he was crucified. (Matthew 26:36-56)

Not long ago I did a post on marriage and included some scripture you can pray over your husband. You can see those here.

Here are 5 scripture that you can pray over your child(children)
Psalm 4:3 Your child is set apart
Colossians 2:2 For God to be in all of their friendships
Luke 2:52 Your child to walk in favor with God and man
1 Peter 2:17 To be respectful
Proverbs 3:24-26 To be protected
